CURRENT UPDATE

Updated: Saturday March 19 at 9:19 PM

At The City Church, we are continually monitoring the status of COVID-19. Your health and safety are of top priority to us.

As a church, we want to respond to the current health climate with both faith and wisdom. Given the most recent recommendations from the Ontario Chief Medical Officer, we have made the decision to move our Sunday Services ONLINE until further notice, with a digital experience that will be available at 9AM EST each Sunday.

We're committed to partnering with Peel Public Health as our health officials work to contain the virus and will continue to provide timely updates as the situation develops.

We encourage you to join one of our online City Groups to stay connected to community, and tune in to this online experience in community on Sunday morning. We are so grateful that the Holy Spirit is not confined to any one space but that He is going to move in homes all across the region this Sunday!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The City Church open?

Based on current recommendations made by Health Canada as well as Peel Public Health, we have decided to cancel our live Sunday service and move to an online digital experience!

We will communicate any schedule changes directly through our social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook) and will reflect those changes on this page.

We are still open during our regular office hours at this time.

What are the precautionary measures The City Church is taking to ensure our safety?

As of today, our live Sunday services have been moved to an online experience.

However, we have taken the following precautionary measures to create a safe and healthy environment for you and your family once our live services resume:

You won’t have to touch a door or a screen

We will have our City Team members available at all of our entrances and at our City Kids check-in, so you will not need to grab a door handle or touch a screen.

Increased Sanitization

Before, during and after each service, we will take steps to sanitize our City Kids classrooms, main auditorium, and all shared surfaces throughout our building.

Handshake Free Zone

We encourage you to use a smile, wave, or an air high-five instead of our usual handshakes, high-fives, or hugs.

No coffee at this time.

Our Coffee Bar will be closed for the time being. Please feel free to grab coffee from Starbucks, Tim Hortons, or your favourite coffee shop on your way in!

What are my giving options while The City Church meets online?

Online giving is available for your convenience.

Where should I go to learn more about COVID-19?

If you are in need of support, looking for advice, or simply inquiring about services in your area, we recommend you check out one of the following options:
– Region of Peel Public Health
– Public Health Ontario
– Health Canada

When will The City Church resume their live services at their physical location?

At this time, it is hard to say. We are unsure as to when our next in person gathering will be. Currently, we are following the recommendation made by Peel Public Health in suspending gatherings larger than 50 people.

Our top priority is the health and safety of you and your family. We are closely monitoring developments and checking for updates from our public health officials. Our team will update you with new information as soon as we receive it. For now, you can stay up to date by checking out our social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook) or revisiting us here on this page!

How can I receive prayer during this time?

We know that there may be a lot of uncertainty at this time. But we also want to operate from a position of faith. Our leadership team is here and ready to pray for you. You can send your prayer requests to us by:

– Texting your prayer request to 647-334-2700
