Position: Events Intern
Duration: 35 hrs/week for 8 weeks
Offer: Conditional upon government funding approval

Requirements:
Age: 15-30 at the start of employment
Provide 2 references
Undergo Vulnerable Sector Screening
Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for employment duration

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Operations and Events Director, and Administrative Assistant in planning and executing various events
Participate in meetings for church-wide, City Kids, Young Adults, Food Drives, First Wednesday events, Summer social events, etc.
Plan and organise events within budget and time constraints
Assist lead team in planning through PCO, Eventbrite, and other online tools
Coordinate and oversee onsite event operations
Track expenses in an organised manner
Supervise event preparation activities and offer timely solutions to problems
Greet and direct guests, resolve routine administrative problems, and answer inquiries
Oversee People database in Planning Centre Online
Initiate inventory process for church-owned items
Perform miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned
Assist in overall building tasks
