An engaging and safe place where your children can experience God's love, make new friends, and have tons of fun!

We are excited to once again offer kids classes during our Sunday morning gatherings at the 9 am service. We know that the pandemic has been especially hard on our little ones, and we want to be a safe and welcoming presence for them as they come to church, many for the first time!

What is your health policy for City Kids?

Children aged 2 and older will need to wear a mask while at The City Church. All City Team leaders and volunteers will be wearing masks as well, regardless of the classroom they’re in.

We follow Peel Public Health’s Attendance and Sick policy. If your child has a fever or is displaying any signs of illness, we ask that you stay home until your child is feeling well and enjoy church online. If any child displays signs of sickness while at The City Church, we’ll reach out to his or her parent to pick them up.

What are the list of symptoms I need to look out for before bringing my child into City Kids?

For the wellness of the children and the volunteers, we ask that if your child is showing symptoms of illness, either remains at home or remains with you during service.

We will not accept children who have:

  • Chronic cough
  • Shortness of breathe
  • Runny nose
  • Unexplainable rash
  • Nits/lice
  • Pin/glassy eyes
  • Fever, chills, vomiting and/or diarrhea
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Any known or suspected communicable disease
What measures do you have in place to keep children safe?

In City Kids, safety is one of our highest priorities. That’s why we have a secure check-in system in place. Upon check-in, you’ll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you’ll show the City Kids leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from their room.

Every City Team volunteer is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. Additionally, our hallways are monitored by background-checked staff members during each experience to make sure your child stays safe and secure.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will use a buzzer given to you when dropping off your child.

What is the process for getting my child into City Kids?

For now, you will need to register your child ahead of Sunday’s in person service at 9 am. To ensure a smooth check-in process, families are encouraged to arrive to church 10 minutes before service begins. Please note that check-in for City Kids closes 20 minutes into service.

Due to limited capacity in our City Kids classrooms, no registration will mean no entry.

Will you have proper sanitation procedures in place?

Yes! In preparation for Sunday services, our entire building is cleaned professionally. This includes our main auditorium, lobby, City Kids’ classrooms, City Youth areas, and bathrooms.

Please note that our City Team will also be sanitizing high-traffic areas before, during and after service experiences to minimize the risk of transmission. We have ensured that all cleaning products used are hospital-grade products and meet all government recommendations for effective sanitization.

All City Kids’ classrooms are professionally cleaned before and after each service. In addition to these professional cleanings, our City Team will sanitize high-traffic areas to minimize the risk of transmission

  • All tables and chairs will be sanitized with quality grade cleaner
  • Used toys will be removed from the room, sanitized and replaced with other sanitized non-porous toys to reduce the amount of contact
  • Non-porous toys will only be made available in classrooms
  • All materials (eg. crayons) in activity packages will not be reused and shared between children.

If you call The City Church home, we need your help serving our City Church families. It takes a team of faithful volunteers to be able to host our kids. We need a team of trained classroom volunteers who can commit to being available for two gatherings a month.
Volunteers must be over 14 years of age and able to pass a background check. If you’re interested in being a part of the classroom experience for our City Kids, register to serve below!

Child Dedications are a special time for families at The City Church to publicly commit to lead the spiritual development of their child. It is our joy to join with you as you make a commitment before the Lord to raise your child according to God’s Word and His Way. We are here to celebrate and encourage you on your amazing parenting adventure!

Want to dedicate your child? Please fill out the form below and someone from our team will contact you with more information and some next steps.
